in one ear, right out the other

yesss. the americorps job is official. 10 wks. $3000 in stipend + 1,100 education award. i will use at least 2,000 on my student loans. from 15,000 to 13,000. nice! more money for me not to use on student loans when im in korea.

it says it starts june 12, but the summer program doesnt start til the 18th. but sometime before will be 2 days of training. i need to call virginia and see when. im going to try and squeeze a trip in to oregon to visit my grandparents.

i hope i start at 10am and not 7. that would be most desirable.

lonnnggg weeek. so there was my graduation, then spencers piano recital, then my moms graduation, then my moms birthday, then tylers bbq shindig which was quite pleasant i must say, was supposed to go to sams bonfire but was tired and lazy… mostly lazy. then i went to lauras graduation yesterday. met her family for the first time and all her mortuary science friends. she invited me to be her plus 1 for her party saturday but i already gots some plans. seems like it would have been interesting cuz they seemed like interesting people. today went to campus to drop off my gown, get my transcripts, and went to get my recommendation letter from my professor. chili cheese fries at MVPs, then to JAX where they tried to get me to spend a lot of money ($164), but i was like screw that and went to Lakewood Cyclery and paid $21 instead. the cool guy ben replaced my tire that looked like it could explode on me at any moment and then readjusted my brakes for free. now both my brakes work! at jax they wiggled my bike and laughed saying it was dead and needed a lot of stuff done if i wanted to get it rideable. bull-fucking-shit. the guy was worse than an annoying cars salesman and was just trying to get me to spend a bunch of money. pfsh. lame.

tomorrow got some more errands to do and then going to my neighbors for beer and pizza to celebrate his birthday. i need to start my tefl certification too. once i get my degree and transcripts then i need to send it to footprints and then theyll find me a school. hopefully i will be out of here by september. thank-fucking-god. i am so ready to leave for a while. though there are a lot of people and things i am gonna miss.

gah. maybe now so you think you can dance will finally be up on ch131. im trying to waste time. watch it doesnt go up til tomorrow. then its a liar cuz it said it would be up by tonight >:(

+ So You Think You Can Dance.

muchisimas gracias to my dad, andrea, and natalie. i wouldnt have been able to have such a successful graduation party without them.

oh man, these origami things took forever to make.

natalie-the cranes

andrea- a shit ton of boats

my dad- airplanes using the scraps

We were up until like 4:30 in the morning. i got me some dedicated peeps. :)

i’ve been watching out of the wild lately. finished the venezuela one now watching alaska. oh man i wish i had the opportunity to partake in such an awesome extreme experience would be cool to see how far i could make it. i would like to think i could make it all of the way :)

i prefer to live my life taking little risks now and then. you know like just jump without looking down with the hope that everything will work out. it’s so boring to be scared to do things. i know this first hand. that’s why i try- little by little- to expand my comfort zone and to try new things when the opportunities present themselves. sometimes it works out well and sometimes… well… not so well. ahah. but if i hadn’t done them it would bug me not to know how they would have turned out

Woot. Just checked. 3.7 GPA this semester! Now I have exactly a 3.0 cumulative GPA. It’s no 4.0, but I am happy to have at least a B average. I did put a lot of work into it, but not that much. I’m sure I could have gotten a better GPA if I didn’t slack off so much and procrastinate. But for all the slacking off and procrastination, I think I did pretty well. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I think I am pretty smart. I don’t think I’m good at that much, but I have knack for things of the academic persuasion. I think my street smarts are decent. I think it’s really impressive when someone gets a 4.0, works full time, and has kids or some other time consuming and energy sucking responsibility. I don’t know how they do it. They’re amazing!

Excited that I finally graduated, but sad to not be able to enroll in more classes. So many more things I want to learn!

Had a super great fun time at my graduation party! Glad for those that were able to make it. Thank you so much! I felt very loved. :) I feel very lucky to have so many people that care about me so much, who are always there to support me, and accept me for who I am! Especially now, I’ve learned to appreciate those who stick by me no matter what happens around me because they know who I am no matter what.

I am happy that I am lucky enough to get jobs after I have graduated that will help to build my experience that is applicable to my area of study. I was getting depressed thinking I would never find anything and end up doing something that had nothing to do with my major what-so-ever like so many other people I’ve seen, which isn’t their fault. The job market sucks and there’s a lot of competition out there. I don’t have my dream job but I feel like I am on the right path to finding it :)

tryin to stay positive as usual, but a lot of the time i am not very good at it. :)
